Costa Navarino Foundation, in collaboration with Kalfayan Galleries (Athens-Thessaloniki) and Organization Earth, a non-profit eco-centered organization, invites artists from around the world to apply for the NAVARINO NATURA ART AWARD 2011.
This international competition will serve as a dynamic forum where the latest ecological issues are expressed through the artistic process. The objective of the Navarino Natura Award is to bring together art and ecological issues and present artist's works to visitors, university students, local schools and to a wider audience.
Costa Navarino is a prime, sustainable destination located in Greece, in the region of Messinia, in the southwest Peloponnese. Organization Earth is a Greek non-profit, non-governmental organization which aims to promote Environmental Social Intelligence (ESI) and Kalfayan Galleries (Athens and Thessaloniki) are dedicated to promoting Greek and international artists.
Deadlines:
Applications are accepted between Friday, April 1 and Monday, May 2 2011. Applications received after 17.00 (GMT) of May 2 2011 will not be accepted.

Theme:
"Green Art and Nature". Artists are invited to submit video artworks or video installations that express the harmonious co-existence of art and nature.
Prize:
The winning submission will be presented in the interactive exhibition space of the Navarino Natura Hall at Costa Navarino for a period of up to one year and the artist will receive a monetary award of 5000 Euros.
